Maya Fluss, a member of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund who resided at NUCLEO for two months, presents her work in progress. It combines moving image and sculpture to examine how ecological meaning is produced and perceived in mediated landscapes. Drawing on the visual language of video games, it explores simulation and escapist aesthetics as ways of shaping attention and responsibility in representations of alpine environments.
Maya Fluss is an artist/designer and sex educator from the Alps (Italy) and the Andes (Peru). She is a graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven. Her practice addresses intimacy and ecological relations through eco-queerfeminist perspectives, considering how bodies, identities, and environments are shaped by systems of power and care.
