With great sadness, we say goodbye to Luk, our friend, colleague, and loyal handyman.
Since 2010, NUCLEO could count on Luk to transform the studio buildings into spaces where artists could thrive, using his golden hands and warm heart. He always came up with the most ingenious “Luk-solutions”: salvaging hundreds of locks, planks, and roof tiles that found new life elsewhere, fixing bikes — even with frisbees — and always being ready to lend a hand.
Luk was a true artist of life: curious, engaged, stubborn in the best way, and always quick with a witty remark or poetic text message. When asked if he was on his way, his answer was “always.”
Luk, thank you for all the warm memories. We wholeheartedly wish you a beautiful onward journey with your cargo bike full of handy tools. May you discover many more repurposed treasures along the way, helping to build new worlds.
Thank you for everything, Luk. You will be deeply missed. ❤️
With all our love,
Your colleagues and the artists at NUCLEO
