UFO, together with the studio organization De Tank in Bruges, is organizing the second edition of UFO MIXERS — peer-to-peer programs that bring together artists and professionals around a central theme to share working methods, exchange knowledge, and build sustainable connections between different artistic ecosystems.
On October 2, Bruges-based artists will open their studios to the public: a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look and engage in conversation with makers. In addition, artists and policymakers will join The Collective Voice Detector by artist Nina Glockner — an artistic game that reveals how systems work, the roles people play in them, and how new, democratic, and empathetic ways of working together can emerge.
This edition of UFO MIXERS invites encounter and reflection: What does the future of the artist in the city look like? How do we make use of space and heritage? And above all: how do we get to know each other better?
