In the fall of 2024, VIERNULVIER took part in the Eye on Palestine Festival in Ghent. For this edition, Syrian-Polish graphic designer Kinda Ghannoum, in collaboration with Ghent-based print studio Topo Copy, created an artwork inspired by Forbidden Colors (1988) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The work explores how symbols and shapes – such as the triangle for Palestine – are used to bypass censorship on social media.
The piece consists of 21 A3 RISO prints that together form a powerful visual statement. After a temporary presentation at the VIERNULVIER Café, it is now on view for one month in the window of the BLANCO project space on Lammerstraat.
You can purchase the individual A3 prints and create your own composition. All proceeds will go to the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund and World Central Kitchen, which provide essential support to Palestinian children and families.
