We’re delighted to welcome you to a new edition of Chit Chat: a moment for artists to meet, exchange ideas, and engage in conversation about their practice. This edition will take place on Friday, 17 July at 18h at Lindenlei. All artists and anyone with an interest in contemporary art are welcome, whether or not you have a studio with NUCLEO.
CHIT CHAT becomes CHIP CHOP!
The artistic practice of Pieter De Clercq follows many unexpected paths. The studio is both his base camp and point of departure. He constantly sets seemingly static things in motion — the perpetual renovation of innovation. It is something that must be experienced, and experienced again, to follow a story that never truly ends. For Pieter De Clercq, art is about living and surviving.
We’ll pause for a moment on that idea of survival: take a deep breath, then make a bold move. That’s why Pieter has transformed CHIT CHAT into CHIP CHOP. In this interactive summer edition, he invites us into another art form: tameshigiri, as a way of surviving this hot summer.
