In April 2025, Kristof Van Heeschvelde invited passers-by into an old shop space on Lammerstraat in Ghent for DRAWING A SAILOR, an interactive drawing project in which participants were asked to make a drawing of a bust of “Koos Van der Kaaij (1899 – 1976)” — purchased by Kristof at an auction.
No fewer than 268 drawings were created!
Now the exhibition is taking place at BLANCO, including a preview and the launch of the pre-sale of the one and only Limited Edition Drawing a Sailor book (edition of 150).
