NUCLEO Azaleapark will become NUCLEO’s first permanent studio building, marking the first time we anchor our studio policy in a fixed location, providing greater stability for artists.
The building is located between Achterstraat and Azaleastraat in Sint-Amandsberg. It will offer approximately 1000 m² of space for artists and creative entrepreneurs, housed in a simple, functional, and energy-efficient architecture.
The heart of the building will be the artist studios, with some reserved as residency studios for both national and international artists. Additionally, we will provide workspaces for creative entrepreneurs and organizations active in the arts sector.
On the park side, there will be a meeting space, which can be used as a relaxation area for artists, as well as for workshops, lectures, and socio-cultural initiatives from the neighborhood. This space will foster interaction between artists, visitors, and local residents, with a glass wall creating a direct connection to the park.
Last but not least, there will be an exhibition space where both NUCLEO artists and artists from other studio organizations, nationally and internationally, can showcase their work.
We hope to lay the foundation stone in 2025, with the aim of welcoming the first artists into the building by the end of 2026.
